Instagram Weekend: Fourth of July

Hard to believe the 4th of July flew by so quickly! I’m just finally getting a post up now. My friend Leah visited me in New York that weekend and we managed to pack in a whole lot of activities — everything from a Mets game, to shopping in SoHo, to the fireworks (obviously), to a visit to my all-time favorite Italian bakery. Also, pictured below is a view of the stunning One World Trade Center from the weekend — lit up in red, white and blue. Pretty awesome, don’t you think?

Here was my best picture from the Macy’s fireworks:

We also made a stop in the Financial District to check out all the touristy attractions. Here’s a shot of me, posing in front of the Brooklyn Bridge:

I also took Leah to my favorite Italian bakery, Ferrara. It should come as no surprise that this bakery is located in none other than — you guessed it — Little Italy. I ordered a chocolate covered cannoli and cheesecake truffle. Highly recommended! Both are very rich — but the perfect mini, poppable size:

I think I’ll be back for more soon ;-)
