This weekend was jam packed! My parents flew in on Friday to visit me. I planned a whole agenda of activities for us. We started off at the matinee showing of Cirque du Soleil Zarkana. It was the 3rd Cirque show I’d ever seen! The acrobats and trapeze artists always amaze me. They did very well! After the show, we grabbed drinks at the Pegu Club, followed by dinner at DBGB.
On Saturday, we started off the morning with brunch at Bakehouse. We spent the remainder of the day shopping and hanging out in Soho and the West Village. After recharging later in the day, we regrouped at Birreria on the Eataly rooftop for some beers and wine. The views were amazing!
After drinks, we headed to The Lion for dinner. The drinks and food were outstanding. For dessert, I ordered their signature: cheesecake in a jar. It was quite possibly one of the best and most unique desserts I’ve ever tried!
By Sunday, we were ready for a laid-back day. We started with lunch at the Boat Basin Cafe, right on the water. It was a beautiful day to eat outside. The remainder of the afternoon consisted of shopping and froyo from 16 Handles. And last but not least, my weekend ended with a sweet surprise from my roommate: a red velvet cupcake from Billy’s Bakery!
